39 Weeks Pregnant

Heath has not arrived yet despite all of our exercising. Our bags are packed. We'll be going to the hospital in the morning for my induction :)

Tonight we went to the movies and saw Man of Steel. It was such a great movie full of action with just a little bit of a love story, which actually turned out to be quite lame. Afterwards, we went to Culvers for some ice cream. In a way, it will be our as a couple without children. It's all very bitter sweet. Since Dan and I have been married for nearly five years in just 2 weeks, we've grown so used to it just being the two of us, but we are so excited for this new era. We both can't wait to meet our precious Heath tomorrow. I just hope and pray that I can sleep tonight!

This picture was taken right after our date!

38 Weeks Pregnant

My mom and Carson are finally here, so that means Heath can come!!!! He must not be ready to come yet, bummer! I keep praying and praying that he will keep growing, be healthy, and come when the Lord would have Heath come. I hope that time is soon! It would make life so much easier if Heath would come early this week so that we could move this coming weekend prior to Dan starting residency. I have to admit, I've been quite emotional about it all. It just seems like this trial Dan and I have to go through has been so long and drug out. It's so hard to plan and be prepared when we have no idea when Heath will come. It seems like if only we knew the day Heath would arrive, we could eliminate all our worry and stress, but of course, that is the one variable that only the Lord knows. I just hope and pray that if I am induced that the delivery will go as smoothly as possible and our baby will be healthy and not have to suffer any complications.

On Sunday, Dan and I went for a 5 mile walk. I started to have contractions every 5 minutes for about 20 minutes and then then gradually got further and further apart. I have just felt very uncomfortable. Dan and I decided I would go on maternity leave this week. I'd hate to work 12 hours and then go into labor and not be rested enough to push out our baby.

My mom and I have been doing a lot of preparations for Heath's arrival. I really hope he comes soon! We're sewing and sewing! My mom is making cloth diapers and I've pretty much been packing and working out with Dan. We've been walking and walking. I did run up the hill in front of our house once this week, but it obviously didn't work much :(

I had my membranes stripped twice this week. My doctor said that since I could tolerate that pain without much difficulty, labor should be fairly easy for me. I'm just hoping she's right :)

If Heath hasn't arrived my Thursday night, we'll be induced Friday morning and then Dan will leave Saturday for residency.

I just hope he'll come soon!!!

37 Weeks Pregnant

This week I feel like a....

Watermelon!

We're getting a little closer to Heath's arrival! At my doctor appointment this week, I'm still dilated to a 3 and 80% effaced. I'm just hoping that Heath will hang in there until my mom and Carson arrive this Saturday!

Our bags are packed and I'm having Braxton Hicks contractions! I'm really trying to be patient!

36 Weeks Pregnant

Today at our doctor's appointment we discovered that I am 3cm dilated and 70% effaced! I guess I better take it easy! I'm banned from running until my mom arrives next weekend! I have to admit I made Dan take me on a 3 mile run last week!

35 Weeks Pregnant

This week was so exciting! At my doctor appointment, we found out that I am 30-40% effaced, but not dilated yet. Heath's heart rate was 136! I'm just so glad that he's health and he'll be here soon! I also picked up an extra night shift and we went out for Chinese! Kolton also came into town on his way to a friend's wedding. It was nice to catch up with him! I'm glad he's doing well!

34 Weeks Pregnant

This week was pretty low key after Dan's family left. We had the missionaries over for dinner and I worked the rest of the week! I also went to the temple with my friend Elizabeth! She received her endowments! I'm really going to miss Liz when I move. She has been such a great friend! We were visiting teaching companions and have really grown so close! I'm so proud of her choice to prepare herself for the blessings of the temple!

My belly just keeps getting bigger and bigger! I can't believe how much Heath keep growing!

33 Weeks Pregnant

This week was a busy one around the Miller house hold! Dan graduated with his doctorate! I can hardly believe that my husband is a medical doctor! I'm so proud of him!

On Thursday evening, Dan was hooded! It was such a special night I'll never forget! I cried when Dan walked across the stage. He has worked so hard for this time to finally arrive and it has!

Trying on his robes for size!

Just checking his email :)

Dan's hooding! I tried my best to get a video of it, but my camera skills and yelling for him just weren't very coordinated :)

It's official!

The lovely hood lined with white and blue silk for Creighton grads!

Dan with some of his favorite medical school friends!

Our little family!

On Friday, we rushed around trying to get all the groceries we thought we would need for the weekend before Dan's family arrived. Once they got to our house, we went to the park and enjoyed visiting. It was the first time I met Jenn's little girl! She's such a cutie!

On Saturday, we enjoyed Dan's graduation ceremony! Again, I felt very emotional! We had a BBQ that afternoon and played at the Children's Museum with our nephew's and niece.

Dan graduated!!!

On Sunday, we went to church and visited several church historical sites, the temple and visitors center.

On Monday, we went to the zoo and enjoyed visiting every single exhibit! Dan and I loved that we had so much family to spend such a special time in our lives with!

On Tuesday, Dan's parents went home, but Jenn and her family stayed one more day with us! We visited an airplane museum and an aquarium. We had such a fun time! We sure will miss Dan's family when we move to Florida. We are hopeful that they'll all come and visit us sometime over the next 5 years!!!
