This week we went to Jacksonville Florida to look for houses. We were rather successful. We were only in Jacksonville for 2 and a half days, but we made the most out of our trip.

In the Chicago airport there are these fancy toilet seat covers that change themselves when you push a button!

The first day we spent the entire time looking at houses with our Realtor. We looked at several homes and condos. I think it was the third place that we looked at that I fell in love with. We ended up putting an offer in on the condo. I also fell in love with a beautiful home, but due to the distance from Mayo and the beach, we decided it wasn't for us although it was absolutely perfect other than the location. The second day we went to the beach and had a picnic with our new friends, the Daughertys. It's so nice to already have friends in Jacksonville!
Dan and I took a nice long drive around the ocean front and really loved it! We did a lot of exploring and a nice old retired lady let us in to see the beach from her condo! It's nice to know that so many people are friendly here! (A picture of a view from her porch!)
Mainly the second day, we read over contracts and met with our Realtor again to go through paperwork for our condo offer. When that was finished, we stopped over at the Mayo Clinic and gave ourselves a little tour!
Radiation Oncology is in the basement! I guess there wasn't a big surprise there!
The last day we spent traveling to Orlando to catch our flight back home to Omaha. On our way home, we met a really night family who we were able to chat with while our plane was delayed. It was a very short trip and very fun! We can't wait to move to Jacksonville!
