After Dan had been gone for a month in Utah, he finally came home for less than 24 hours before he was off to The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for yet another month long externship. It was the best reunion we have ever had! It was so strange to have him back. We couldn't stop hugging each other. It just seemed so unreal. I picked him up at the airport around one o'clock on Saturday after I worked my last night shift. Then, we came home and got ready for a nice dinner at Charlies On The Lake in West Omaha. It was a rainy day, so we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful view below like we had hoped, but it still felt magical.
